Trading, VP- State Street Global Advisors
The SSGA Global Trading team is a multi-asset trading desk that has been developed to meet the varied requirements that many of our clients demand. You will be responsible for trading equities with secondary/supporting roles related to Foreign Exchange and Futures. If you have 5+ years of previous buy side or sell side equity trading experience, a deep interest in markets, ability to manage trading costs and be able to deliver a high level of service in a fast paced environment, then this is a job for you. You will be working in a team environment with other traders located in Boston, London and Hong Kong and you will report directly to the Head of Trading Americas in Boston. Specific Duties and Qualities sought:
• Provide coverage to the global Portfolio Management teams with primary focus on equities both dollar & non-dollar.
• Responsible for ensuring quality, accuracy and timely execution of client orders.
• Engage and communicate with executing brokers to gather market color and resolve exceptions.
• Assist in the ongoing development of trading capabilities and review of Transaction Cost Analysis.
• Add instrument expertise as business requirements dictate.
• Disseminate trade ideas, market insight and commentary as needed or desired.
• Ensure close cooperation and relationship building with support and oversight functions such as Portfolio Management, IT, Risk, Operations, Legal, Sales, Marketing and Compliance.
• Proficient trading experience of dollar & non-dollar equites in algorithmic, list-based, RFQ and Block execution channels
• Proficient in Bloomberg and equity execution management systems
• Solid understanding of markets, market forces, managing risk and market structure.
Technical and Education Requirements:
• Four year education degree or higher preferred
• Data Science experience with some or all of Excel, Python, Java, VBA, SQL preferred.
• Tableau data-visualization experience a plus
